Cowichan Tribes is issuing this Request for Quotation (RFQ) to solicit detailed pricing and service delivery proposals from qualified fire rescue service providers for the provision of fire response services within the downtown area of the City of Duncan, located on Cowichan Tribes Reserve Land (IR1).

This RFQ has pre-identified several local fire departments. Cowichan Tribes now invites formal quotations for contracted fire response services.

Quotations should include a detailed service proposal and pricing for the following service categories:
a) Structural fire response
• Response to fires in commercial, administrative and residential buildings (occupied or unoccupied)
• Scene control, suppression, ventilation, salvage and overhaul
b) Interior fire suppression
• Full-service response including entry and suppression for fires
c) Emergency medical support
• First responder services as aligned with the BC Ambulance Service Resource Allocation Plan
or equivalent.
d) Interface wildfire response
• Wildfire response capabilities within wildland-urban interface areas of IR1
e) Miscellaneous outdoor fire response
• Brush/grass fires
• Vehicle fires
• Electrical and utility-related fires
• Rubbish/unauthorized burning
• Fire watch/re-ignition prevention
Note: Fire inspections and fire prevention services under the Fire Services Act are not included in this request.
