NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Sandusky and shall be addressed to the Director of Public
Works (the “Director”), at 240 Columbus Ave, Sandusky, Ohio 44870, until 1:30pm on Thursday, April
9, 2026. Bids will be opened and read publicly immediately thereafter in the Commission Chambers at
City Hall, for furnishing the material and performing the labor for the execution of: 2026 USDA Tree
Planting in accordance with the Plans and Specifications prepared by Director of Public Works, on file
in its office, 240 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, OH 44870.
Bids will be received for:

2026 USDA Tree Planting
ESTIMATE OF COST
$70,000.00
There is no pre-bid meeting.
If a hard copy of the bid book is preferred, requests must be made in writing to Melissa Vassallo so
that a book may be produced within 24 hours at a cost of $50.00. The purchaser shall bare all
shipping costs or make arrangements to pick up documents. Contact Melissa Vassallo at

Contract Documents may be reviewed without charge during normal business hours, 8:00am to
5:00pm in the Public Works office in its new location at 240 Columbus Ave and various plan rooms
requesting documents.
All questions shall be directed to the Service Coordinator, Elisabeth Sowecke, at
esowecke@cityofsandusky.com in writing via email no later than 8:00am on Friday, April 3, 2026.
Prevailing Wage Rates and the City’s Equal Opportunity Requirements are applicable to the Contract.
