The Town of Berlin, CT is seeking qualified contractors to perform reroofing and related work at the Berlin-Peck Library. The selected contractor will be responsible for the removal and disposal of the existing roofing materials, the installation of new roofing systems, and any related construction tasks. The project aims to enhance the structural integrity of the building, improve energy efficiency, and maintain aesthetic appeal while ensuring compliance with all relevant municipal codes and standards. The contractor must demonstrate experience in similar projects while maintaining safety and efficiency throughout the process.
The Town, founded in 1785, covers an area of 27.0 square miles, and is located in the geographic center of the state in Hartford County. Berlin is eleven miles south of the City of Hartford and is bordered by New Britain, Newington, Rocky Hill, Cromwell, Middletown, Meriden and Southington. Berlin’s population is approximately 20,000.
