The Air Force intends to solicit the following supply:
The 76 CMXG is requesting utilization of funds for the purchase of ET Metal Powder Sieving Vacuums.
The requested equipment item description / specifications are outlined below.
a. Item one - Metal Powder Sieving Vacuums
•(qty. 1) 9053 SSS Sonic Powder Conditioner; SPC – ATEX
•(qty. 2) 9053 SSS Sonic Powder Conditioner; SPC
Three (3) Each stand alone unit must be a powder reclamation system designed to remove, collect, and sieve hazardous and reactive metal powders (Nickel, Cobalt Chrome, Aluminum) from GE Concept Laser M2 Series 5 printers.
Each system shall be positioned adjacent to the M2 glove box and interface with the printer’s integrated vacuum port and overflow hopper outlet.
System shall automatically extract powder, transfer it to a buffer hopper, and dispense it onto a sieve for classification with an automatically controlled feed rate to prevent overload.
Includes two (2) vacuum hoses: one for the overflow hopper outlet and one for the printer vacuum port.
• Powder conveyor system suitable for handling nickel, cobalt chrome, and aluminum alloys (e.g., equivalent to Piab FC.P100.TX2.32 for aluminum).
• Must be capable of sieving under an inert gas atmosphere for all materials. (Includes interchangeable sieve sets: two (2) 75-micron sieves (for nickel/aluminum) and two (2) 63-micron sieves (for cobalt chrome) per system.
• Features dual agitation methods (ultrasonic and vibratory) and an ultrasonic knocker to prevent powder bridging in the buffer hopper.
• Includes integrated scales for measuring both coarse waste and fine reclaimed powder.
• Must have an automated powder feed (e.g., pinch valve) from the buffer hopper to the sieve.
• The system for aluminum processing must be explosion-proof and compliant with ATEX Zone 20 (or equivalent).
• All systems must have CE or UL certification.
• The manufacturer must demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years’ experience producing comparable powder handling and sieving systems.
• The manufacturer must provide redacted references from customers who have purchased the same system within the past twelve (12) months.
A Firm Fixed Price type contract is contemplated.
Estimated Period of Performance: 60 days ARO
