Qualifications:
A contractor or subcontractor is not eligible to receive funds under this agreement if the contractor is not licensed and in good standing in California or is listed on the federal Consolidated List of Debarred, Suspended, and Ineligible Contractors.
Special Requirements:
Contractor agrees to: Perform all work in accordance with federal, state and local housing and building codes; Comply with the Labor Standards as described in Attachment D, and the Equal Opportunity Requirements described in Attachment E of the Standard Agreement between the State of California and the County of Humboldt the certifications contained herein, and to comply with the provisions of the California Labor Code. Attachments D and E are made a part hereof; Maintain State-required Worker’s Compensation Insurance, unemployment, disability, and liability insurance for all employees in an amount reasonable to compensate any party who may be injured or damaged by the contractor or any subcontractor in performing the work. Personal liability is to be no less than $1,000,000 for any one person and $1,000,000 for any one occurrence. Property damage insurance covering damage to any and all property resulting from operations under this contract should be no less than $1,000,000 for each occurrence. Automotive liability insurance shall be in the limits of at least $1,000,000 for any one person and $1,000,000 for any one occurrence. Contractor must provide certification of this insurance prior to entering into any contract; No contractor who is a member, officer, or employee of the Lender, or its designees or agents, or a member of the governing body of the locality in which the program is situated, and no other public official of such locality or localities who exercise any functions or responsibilities with respect to the program during their tenure or for one year thereafter, shall have any interest, direct or indirect, in any contract or subcontract, or the proceeds thereof, for Work to be performed in connection with the program assisted under the Prime Construction Contract.
