BACKGROUND

The Cooling Tower, located behind building 235 was built in 2002. It is divided into three sections or “cells”. Each cell is further divided into a “wet” and “dry” section. Each section has a pair of rolling doors that can be positioned to minimize the plume emanating from the structure. There are a total of 12 operator controlled doors. The doors were replaced in 2019 and are CHI 6181, Flat Slat with Galvanized Tracks, 18ga Steel slats. The operators are Liftmaster GH503L5, ½ HP with N103 Type Wet Environment Package, installed with Key Lockout Switches.

The Contractor shall provide all supervision, labor, material, and equipment to perform semi-annual (spring and fall) maintenance on the 12 roll up doors. Work includes cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, and verifying correct operation.
