Description
IDRC requests expressions of interest for five teams to conduct program evaluations of IDRC’s five programs: Climate-Resilient Food Systems, Global Health, Education and Science, Democratic and Inclusive Governance, Sustainable Inclusive Economies. All five programs work across the following regions: Central and West Africa, Eastern and Southern Africa, Middle East and North Africa, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean.
The objective of IDRC’s Program Evaluations is to provide a systematic formative assessment of the effectiveness of IDRC’s program implementation and the relevance and significance of emerging program results since the launch of IDRC’s Strategy 2030. The evaluations will cover active programming between 2020-2025.
The Program Evaluations will be centrally managed by IDRC’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning team and structured as five discrete, concurrent and commonly structured evaluations. They will use expert assessment by engaging five specialist external evaluation teams. Independence will be a central feature of the Program Evaluations. This neutrality will support public accountability and provide new insights on IDRC’s performance. While one firm may submit Expressions of Interest for more than one of IDRC’s five program evaluations, these must be separate submissions with distinct relevant thematic expertise in each team.
The estimated contract period will be 16 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2025/02/01.
