Medical Plan Administration- NDA

This RFP for Medical Plan Administration- NDA is a companion to the formal RFP for Medical Plan Administration.  Bidders who wish to respond to the formal RFP are required to submit a signed NDA.  The NDA is to be returned via this Event.

The University of Missouri System (UMS) is seeking proposals from qualified professional firms interested in providing medical coverage to the University's active employees, COBRA members, LTD members, pre-65 retirees, and post-65 grandfathered retirees. It is important to UMS that members have access to quality health care when they need it. UMS currently offers six medical plans including a PPO plan, Tiered PPO Plan, High Deductible Health Plan, Custom Network Plan, a Retiree PPO Plan, and a Retiree High Deductible Health Plan. Access to plans may be determined by where members are located. UMS is carving out pharmacy and running a concurrent RFP for a PBM, so this proposal will be for medical only. UMS will be asking for proposals to include full replacement, but will also be asking for pricing for partial replacement of their plan offering. While it is not the intention to offer two different medical carriers, depending on proposal responses, it may be a consideration. The planned effective date for this benefit is January 1, 2026.

Proposals submitted must be received utilizing the University of Missouri System's electronic bidding platform. The University assumes no responsibility for any supplier’s on time submission.
