NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Pedestrian Bridge Abutment Construction and Pre-Fabricated Bridge Installation –
Sunflower River Walk
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Mayor and Commissioners (the “Board”) of the City of
Clarksdale, Mississippi (the “City”), at its regular Monday, April 13, 2026 meeting adopted its order
authorizing the solicitation of sealed written bids from qualified service providers, to provide the following
services:
Provide materials, labor, and equipment to construct two concrete bridge abutments for an
approximately 80 foot-long, 6 foot-wide pedestrian bridge for the Sunflower River Walk per the
Specifications and Bid Documents. Scope also includes lifting and installing the Owner Provided pre-
fabricated bridge onto the abutments and making final connections.
Detailed specifications/drawings/bid documents for the pedestrian bridge abutment requirements are on file in
the office of the City Clerk, Second Floor, City Hall, 121 Sunflower Avenue, Post Office Box 940, Clarksdale,
Mississippi, 38614, telephone number (662) 621-8136 (direct). Copies thereof may be examined at the City
Clerk’s office or may be obtained by any interested party upon request to Maggie Lloyd in the office of
Jonathan Tate, Architect, at ml@officejt.com; 857-204-0470.
The deadline for submission of sealed written bids is Friday, May 15, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. Timely received
bids will be opened and read aloud beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026 in the Office of the City
Clerk located in the City Hall Clarksdale, MS.
Bids must be clearly identified as such on the front of the sealed envelope(s) in which the bid is
submitted. The words “SUNFLOWER RIVER WALK PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE ABUTMENTS” should be
clearly written on the front of the envelope(s). Responsibility for compliance with the instructions to Bidders
and specifications and for timely submission lies solely with the bidder. Bids not recorded by the City Clerk
prior to 1:30 o’clock p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026 will not be opened or considered.
The City will enter into negotiations with the bidder(s) submitting the best bid. The City reserves the
right(s) (a) to reject any and all bids submitted, or (b) to cancel in whole or in part, its Request for Bids (c) to
require any additional information it may deem appropriate or necessary from any bidder and (d) to waive any
and all irregularities in any bids submitted in response to the Request for Bids.
