The City of Paducah, Engineering Department will receive bids for the "Flood Pump Station 11 Pump Repair Project” on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. CST. All Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Commission Chambers, Second Floor, City Hall, 300 South 5th Street, Paducah, Kentucky. A PRE-BID MEETING will be held at the City of Paducah Commission Chambers on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. CST.

This document is an Amendment of Invitation to Bid for “PUMP STATION #11 PUMP REPAIRand shall
be a part of and included in the Contract. When the Addendum conflicts with the original Invitation to Bid,
this Addendum shall govern.
Questions Received:
Is a site visit available?
o Yes, contact Keith Riley at 270-217-7852 to arrange this.
Is the contract timeframe (30 days) flexible?
o The City will work with the contractor based on what is found when the pump is pulled, and the
fix is determined.
Is the contractor responsible for performing corrections to the pump?
o No, the City has engaged Southside Machine Shop in Paducah to perform the corrective work.
What size crane will be needed to pull the pump?
o The pump weighs 23,697 lbs. the contractor is responsible for providing the appropriate crane.
Where will the laydown area be?
o Laydown will be available on the gravel area at the top of the drive.
Where will the motor be stored after removal?
o The motor will need to be stored outside, shrink-wrapped, and tarped to protect it from the
weather.
