NOTICE TO BIDDERS

VILLAGE OF LEMONT, ILLINOIS

2026 MFT Resurfacing

Sealed Proposals for the improvement described below will be received at the office of the Public Works Director of the Village of Lemont, 16680 New Avenue, Lemont, IL 60439, until 10:00 a.m.,  April 3, 2026,  and will be publicly opened and read at that time.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

Name:      2026 MFT Resurfacing Improvements     Length: 1.91miles

Location: Various Streets

Hot-mix asphalt surface removal and resurfacing; leveling binder (machine method); hot-mix asphalt surface course; class D patches; spot combination curb and gutter removal and replacement; spot sidewalk removal and replacement; thermoplastic pavement markings; and all appurtenant construction

1.  Plans and proposal forms will be available electronically only from HR Green, Inc. by contacting Kelly Andrews at kandrews@hrgreen.com (815) 320-7120.  The plans and specifications prepared by HR               Green, Inc. dated March 12, 2026, shall be used as a reference document throughout the bidding and construction of the project.

2.  IDOT prequalification is required.  The 2 low bidders must file within 24 hours after letting an "Affidavit of Availability" (Form BC 57), in triplicate, showing all uncompleted contracts awarded to them and             all low bids pending award for Federal, State, County, Municipal and private work.  One copy shall be filed with the Awarding Authority and one original with the IDOT District Office.

3 .The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals as provided in BLRS Special Provision for Bidding Requirements and Conditions for Contract Proposals.

4.  The following BLR Forms shall be returned by the bidder to the Awarding Authority:

a.  BLR 12200: Local Public Agency Formal Contract Proposal

b.  BLR 12201: Schedule of Prices

c.  BLR 12230: Proposal Bid Bond

d.  BLR 12325: Apprenticeship or Training Program Certificaiton

e.  BLR 12326: Affidavit of Illinois Business Office

5.  The Contractor will be required to pay Prevailing Wages in accordance with all applicable laws.
