The City of Gainesville is requesting individual sealed Bids for the Athens Street Pedestrian Improvements project. The work to be performed for this project shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals, and performing all work required to construct a multiuse trail, sidewalks, drainage improvements including water quality features, associated utility relocations, road paving, and landscaping along a portion of Athens Street from West Ridge Road to the I-985 bridge. Bidders must be GDOT-certified to perform like work within state right of way. A Pre-BidConference will be held on Tuesday,September 9, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. in the Station Room, 1st Floor of the City Administration Building located at 300 Henry Ward Way, SE; Gainesville, GA 30501. Attendance is optional but highly recommended.

Separate, sealed bids will be received by the Owner at the Financial Services Department office, 300 Henry Ward Way, Suite 201, Gainesville, Georgia 30501, until 2:00 P.M., local time, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at2:15 P.M., local time, on said date, in the Financial Services Conference Room, Suite 201 on the 2nd Floor of the City Administration Building located at 300 Henry Ward Way, SE Gainesville, GA 30501.  It is the responsibility of the person/firm submitting a Bid to ensure that it is received at the physical address above prior to the stated deadline.
