Rental of Parking Facilities

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to modify a Purchase Order 75N98024P00340 to One Parking 6700, LLC which was awarded on a sole source basis.

In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, the Contractor is the only known responsible source who can provide the services for the requirement listed below.

The purpose of this notice is to inform the public that the NIH intends to issue a purchase order modification to One Parking for parking spaces located at 6700B Rockledge Drive, Bethesda MD to increase the number of unreserved parking spaces from 50 to 77 when the option is exercised. Parking spaces are needed for staff located at the Rockledge facility. The parking garage at the Rockledge location is owned and serviced by One Parking 6700, LLC and is the only company that can provide access cards that are required for staff to enter and exit the parking garage at the Rockledge facility. At the time of initial award, most employees were offsite. The number of onsite staff increased, therefore, the number of unreserved parking spaces increased.

This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. However, any party that believes it can fulfill the requirement as stated herein may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to satisfy the requirement. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed award based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

It is anticipated that an award will be issued approximately two days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that another company has the capability to satisfy this requirement.
