Illick Hall Vacuum Pump Replacement

The two wet vacuum pumps that serve Illick Hall laboratory hoods and equipment shall be replaced with a new dry type vacuum pump system with integral tank, pumps and control panel. The current five horsepower wet vacuum pumps are in a basement mechanical room of Illick Hall. These pumps are original to the building, circa 1968, and have been repaired numerous times over the years. The building has been down to one pump that serves the entire building for several years now as one of the pumps is beyond repair. New pumps shall operate in a lead/lag sequence. All general, electrical, control, plumbing and associated mechanical modifications as required for a complete system are within the scope of the project.

A non-mandatory Pre-Bid walkthrough is scheduled for Thursday, January 30th at 10:00 AM with prospective bidders gathering outside Mechanical Room 20 in the basement of Illick Hall.
