The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) is hosting an Inmate Electronic Tablet Devices Industry Vendor Demonstration event. This event will take place in the FBOP office located at 400 First Street, NW Washington, DC 20534. The purpose of this event is for the FBOP to gain a perspective on the commercially available inmate electronic tablet devices that are appropriate for a correctional environment through information exchanges with interested participants.
One-on-One Demonstration Sessions:
One-on-One demonstration sessions will be scheduled upon Government acceptance of a company’s submitted registration form and will be unclassified. A limit of one 45-minute session (30-minutes of presentation and 15-minutes of Q&A) per company is permitted. Companies interested in participating in a demonstration session must submit their registration packet by July 28, 2025 at 12:00 PM EST. Invitations will be sent out to registered companies once a timeslot has been scheduled.
These one-on-one demonstration sessions will allow a company to showcase its current and future capabilities relevant to the Government’s need. The Government is interested in company technologies, manufacturing processes, workforce expertise, and overall capacity to support the inmate electronic tablet device industrial base. The Government is also looking for any meaningful feedback to shape its acquisition strategy.
Companies may only be in attendance during their scheduled appointment.
Demonstration Session Content:
The FBOP is interested in vendor solutions for inmate tablet devices with the ability to manage administrative functions (commissary ordering, administrative remedies, receiving money, etc.), phone calls, video visiting, emails, education programing, and entertainment/leisure purchasing (movies, music, books, games, etc.).
Demonstration Rules of Engagement:
Companies participating in these sessions should carefully adhere to these guidelines to ensure a productive and positive interaction.
