Operations & Maintenance Support Services for the State Licensed Disposal Area

Description of goods to services to be bid:

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) seeks a highly qualified, professional general maintenance company or individual with experience in performing a variety of operational and maintenance tasks in a highly regulated environment to support activities at NYSERDA’s West Valley Site Management Program at the Western New York Nuclear Service Center near West Valley, New York. The objective of this RFP is to select one or more teams experienced in providing the services outlined in this request for proposals. The scope will include the following activities:

Project Management and Training
Vegetation Control
Fence Maintenance
Electrical Inspections and Maintenance
Snow Removal
Geomembrane Cover System Maintenance
On Demand Maintenance and Support
Emergency Response Services and Support

Eligibility/Qualifications Requirements/Preferences:

Proposers shall have experience in working in a highly regulated safety conscious environment and can also perform operation and maintenance activities typically performed at an industrial / construction sites with a hazardous / radioactive waste material component. Proposers should have experience providing project management and well experienced field supervisor and personnel. Personnel performing activities will have up to date Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training in accordance Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 29 CFR 1910.120. Personnel shall have experience erosion and sedimentation control and be certified through Dig Safe New York Certified Excavator Program.
