Preventative Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Maintenance
Synopsis:
This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation by the Government of Saskatchewan (GOS) to prospective Proponents to provide Submissions for the provision of Preventative Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) maintenance on the Ministry of Highways’ ITS devices, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A).
The Ministry of Highways (HI) requires preventative maintenance on the ITS devices located across the province of Saskatchewan. These devices are essential for ensuring the safety and efficiency of Saskatchewan’s transportation network. Regular maintenance is critical to extending their service life, reducing downtime and maintaining optimal performance.
To address the scope and complexity of this maintenance, and due to limited internal resources, HI seeks to establish a Service Agreement with an external provider to perform these services. This standing offer will cover semi-annual spring and fall maintenance for all ITS devices across the province, with the exception of those managed under the Regina Bypass Operations and Maintenance Agreement. Qualified personnel will conduct thorough inspections, repairs and testing of ITS devices according to industry best practices and safety protocols.
With external support, HI can ensure comprehensive maintenance across its ITS infrastructure, safeguarding the continued functionality, safety and reliability of Saskatchewan’s transportation systems.
