2026 COMMENCEMENT VENUE

SUNY DOWNSTATE HEALTH SCIENCES UNIVERSITY (SUNY-DHSU) IS SEEKING A VENUE FOR THEIR 2026 COMMENCEMENT. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR MORE INFORMATION.

Suny Downstate Health Science University’s 2026 Commencement.

Requirements for Proposals:

• Must be located in the borough of Brooklyn.
• Must be able to seat at least 3,000 up to a maximum of 10,000.
• Must be available for two ceremonies during the week of May 11-15, 2026, preferably Wednesday, May 13.
• Must have capability to stream the ceremony live and provide a copy of the stream for public use.
• Must have handicap-access seating.
• Must have stage capacity for 60-100 people.
• Must have secure entry procedures and staff to provide metal detection and wanding.
• Must provide security and seating personnel.
• Must provide tickets by April 1, in order to distribute to our graduates.
• Must provide stage crew/loading dock crew for unload in morning and reload at end of day.
• Must provide separate entrance for VIP guests and faculty.
• Must have location for students to line up, and separate location for faculty/staff to line up.

Amenities:

• On-site catering, or access to such.
• Parking for VIPs
