Waterpark Painting Bid: Deadline 9.25.25

NOW ACCEPTING PROPOSALS FOR THE REPAINTING/RESTORATION OF WATER SLIDES AND METAL TOWER STRUCTURES AT CITY OF SOMERSET WATERPARK (SOMERSPLASH WATERPARK)

The City of Somerset will be accepting proposals for the restoration and painting of water slides, towers, and play structure located at the City of Somerset Waterpark (SomerSplash Waterpark). Said proposals will be opened and reviewed at the City of Somerset Council Chambers located at 306 East Mt. Vernon Street at 1000 hours or 10:00 AM EST on September 25, 2025.

The proposal for the project will be for the beginning to completion of the restoration, fiberglass work on bowl slide, and repainting of three metal slide towers and one activity play structure. Plus, the repainting, refurbishing, fiberglass work on bowl slide (and other slides as needed) and gel coating of the existing 6 large slides (bowl slide, tube slide, speed slide, open body slide, closed body slide, and half open/half closed body slide) and three small slides located at the activity pool structure (small white double slide, small green slide, and small blue slide) located at the City of Somerset Waterpark (SomerSplash Waterpark).

Any contractor/company interested in placing a proposal must schedule a site visit to see scope of work needed.

Project beginning/completions:

Preferred Spring of 2026 and be completed by May 10, 2026; however, Fall of 2025 is possible depending on dates.

Said bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope and marked Slide/Tower Restoration Repairs Proposal Opening City of Somerset Watemark and addressed to the City of Somerset, P.O. Box 989 Somerset, Kentucky 42502.

PLEASE INCLUDE ALL RELEVANT INFORMATION WITH YOUR BID REGARDING LEAD TIME ON ORDERS, PAY SCHEDULE, MINIMUM ORDERS, BUSINESS LICENSE, ANY ADDITIONAL INSURANCE COVERAGE, WORK CO:MP COVERAGE FOR EMPLOYEES, OR FREIGHT CHARGES. THE CITY OF SOMERSET RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY OR ALL PROPOSALS/BIDS.
