Commodity: Literacy Coaching
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Please be advised that this document serves as Addendum #1 for RFP# 6825, Literacy Coaching
Questions received from potential bidders have been consolidated to reduce duplicate
questions. They are in no order.
Q1 – GCS is seeking job embedded literacy coaching services to strengthen instruction across
participating schools and notes that GCS serves 121 schools but does not specify how many
schools will participate in vendor supported coaching services. How many schools will the
vendor support per year?
A1 – The number of schools that will be supported is based on the vendors response to the
request. If elementary only: 68 schools, middle schools: 27, and high schools: 30. There can be a
combination of such, based on the submission from the vendor.
Q2 – Coaching services are described as scalable and collaborative with district leadership and
school administrators, without defining a fixed annual cohort size. Has GCS identified an
anticipated or target number of schools to receive literacy coaching support annually?
A2 – The decision around the scaling of coaching has not yet been determined.
Q3 – The scope outlines extensive coaching, professional learning, and implementation support
responsibilities, but does not specify the number of schools or sites to which these services will
apply each year. Will the number of supported schools be determined prior to contract award or
after award based on district priorities and funding?
A3 – The number of supported schools will be determined after the contract is awarded, but
priority to the fully developed scope for the year.
Q4 – Should support also include support for Dual Language and Spanish Immersion schools?
If it does, how many schools will be Dual Language or Spanish Immersion during the 2026-2027
school year?
A4 – Yes, there the support will be inclusive of two Dual Language schools and two Spanish
Immersion schools, at the elementary level.
Q5 – Has funding been allocated for this RFP? If so, could the district share an anticipated
budget range to support the scope of work defined in the RFP?
A5 – Funding has not been allocated for this RFP. The budget range will be contingent on if the
vendor is responding for a specific grade span, like elementary or middle, or the entire scope,
which would be elementary, middle, and high.
