Description

Notice of Intent for Peripheral Intervention technology identified as SIR-Sphere Y-90, which is a for the treatment of unresectable metastatic liver tumors.



The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA), Northeast Healthcare Contracting Division – Northeast (NCD-NE), on behalf of Nuclear Medicine Department at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC), intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with Sirtex Medical, Inc., (Cage: 45EE6), 300 Unicorn Park Drive, Woburn, MA 01801-3363.



The anticipated award will be made under the statutory authority permitting FAR 13.5, Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items pursuant to FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii), sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items. The Blanket Purchase Agreement is intended to procure Radioactive SIR-Spheres Y-90 resin microspheres are used for therapeutic imaging in Nuclear Medicine. SIR-Spheres Y-90 resin microspheres are indicated for the treatment of unresectable metastatic liver tumors from primary colorectal cancer with adjuvant intra-hepatic artery chemotherapy (IHAC) of FUDR (Floxuridine).
