Title: Stunt Road Pump Station and Saddle Peak Tank Capacity Analysis and Improvements Project: Request for Proposals for Design Services
Addenda: 0
Release Date: 10/29/2025
Due Date: 12/12/2025
The Las Virgenes Municipal Water District is seeking Proposals for Stunt Road Pump Station and Saddle Peak Tank Capacity Analysis and Improvements Project: Request for Proposals for Design Services . Proposals are to be submitted through the Procurement Portal at https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/lvmwd , no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, December 12, 2025 .
This project includes the evaluation, design and implementation of upgrades to the Stunt Road Pump Station (PS) and Saddle Peak Tank inlet piping infrastructure. Work involves developing a comprehensive Basis of Design Report (BODR) and incorporating all findings into construction plans and specifications. Improvements expected to be made include evaluation of pumping capacity, improvements to the Saddle Peak Tank inlet pipeline, surge mitigation (installation of surge tanks), extension of electrical service to Saddle Peak Tank, and improvement of site security in conformance with the District’s Multisite Security Assessment.
The existing Saddle Peak Tank inlet piping includes approximately 750 linear feet of ductile iron pipe between Stunt Road and the Saddle Peak Tank which was replaced in 2007 due to landslide activity. The pipeline was previously located in the tank access road but was relocated to an abovegrade alignment on an exposed, rocky hillside. This section of pipeline includes a section where the pipeline diameter decreases from 14 inches to 8 inches which limits the District’s ability to operate both pumps at Stunt Road Pump Station without exceeding acceptable pressures. This project will most likely include replacement of this pipeline with a larger diameter pipe and/or the addition of a secondary pipeline depending on the findings of the selected design consultant.
