Project Description: Sealed bids will be received on PennBid’s Bonfire website found at pennbid.bonfirehub.com, until 2:00 PM prevailing time on December 16, 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Kutztown University may require performance of work order construction. Work to consist of non-capital construction, renovation, repair, and maintenance of facilities, buildings, building systems, and utilities. Work shall include all labor, superintendence, materials, tools and equipment, and performing all work necessary to complete work. It is the intent of the University to issue work order (unit-price) contracts to multiple qualified General Construction, HVAC Construction, Plumbing Construction, and Electrical Construction contractors. Contract length will be one (1) year with four (4) optional one-year renewals. All work will be done strictly on an as-needed basis.
In order to ensure the responsiveness of contractors, and in the best interests of the University, contractors must meet the following special requirements:
• Must be located within 50 miles (as the road drives) from the University. Contractors located outside of the 50 mile distance will not be considered.
A pre-bid conference will not be held for this Invitation for Bids. Questions regarding this Invitation for Bids must be received no later than 2:00 PM prevailing time on December 5, 2025. Answers to these questions and further administrative information shall be provided via Addendum #1 which shall be posted to the eProcurement bid page no later than December 9, 2025.
The Invitation for Bids (IFB) packet is available in electronic format only at pennbid.bonfirehub.com. The IFB packet is only available November 18, 2025 through December 16, 2025 at 2:00 PM.
Authorized Document Source: The IFB must be procured from PennBid’s Bonfire website. Due to the possible inaccuracies in documents procured from other sources, and the potential for an incomplete understanding of the scope of work, bids submitted by contractors who procure the IFB from any other source but the authorized source will be considered non-responsive and will be rejected.
