Synopsis:
|
|
The City of Saskatoon’s Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) operates a biosolids dewatering facility site called the North 40 Biosolids Facility. The North 40 is an integral part of the wastewater treatment process as it receives digested sludge pumped from the Wastewater Treatment Plant Digesters for dewatering. The dewatered liquid is then sent back to the plant while the dewatered biosolids remains in the cells.
WWTP has spread these dewatered biosolids onto the subsurface of nearby agricultural lands through liquid injection.
