ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
NOTICE is hereby given that the Town of Georgetown, Mississippi, will receive written sealed bids until
the hour of 10:00 am local time on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the office of the Town of Georgetown
Town Hall located at 1048 East Poplar Street, Georgetown, MS 39078 for the furnishing of all labor and
materials, and for performing all activities specified in the Contract Documents, for the construction of
the 2023 DRA Sewer Improvements.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 am local time, on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at the office of
the Town of Georgetown Town Hall.
The project includes the installation of a new duplex pump station with controls and force main
to carry the effluent directly to the Pearl River, replacing the existing cascade aerator system. The
Contract Time will be One Hundred Twenty (120) consecutive calendar days, and the liquidated damages
will be $500 per consecutive calendar day thereafter.
Plans, contract documents and proposal forms are on file for public inspection in the office of the
Town of Georgetown Town Hall, 1048 East Poplar Street, Georgetown, MS 39078, and in the office of
the Engineer, WGK, Inc., 204 West Leake Street, Clinton, MS 39056 (601-925-4444). All documents
required for bidding purposes, including specifications and plans, may be viewed for free at
www.wgkengineersprojects.com. Documents may be downloaded for a non-refundable charge of $75.
Hard Copies are also available for ordering online for a non-refundable fee. For questions regarding the

Bids for this work will be accepted only under the name of the Bidder to whom the Contract
Documents and Addenda, if any, have been issued by the Engineer. Bids received by bidders to whom
the Contract Documents were not issued by the Engineer will be returned unopened.
State law requires a non-resident bidder to attach/include a copy of his resident state’s current
law pertaining to such state’s treatment of non-resident contractors with their bid. Any bid submitted by
a non-resident contractor which does not include the non-resident contractor’s current state law shall be
rejected and not considered for award.
All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the hour of 10:00 am local time on Thursday,
March 26, 2026, at the office of the Town of Georgetown Town Hall located at 1048 East Poplar Street,
Georgetown, MS 36078. Bids will be considered by the Town of Georgetown at or before the next regular
meeting thereof to be held within thirty (30) days of the date of receipt of bids.
The Town of Georgetown reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in the bidding and to
reject any and all bids.
