CHS STADIUM SAFETY NETTING

The City of Charlottesville is seeking qualified vendors to furnish and install safety netting at the Charlottesville High School stadium. The objective of this project is to enhance safety for spectators, players, and staff by preventing sports equipment from leaving the field of play. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to complete the installation in a timely and professional manner. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE. This project must be completed between July 21st to August 2nd, 2025.

Charlottesville High School hosts a wide range of athletic events that draw large crowds and involve high-speed play, increasing the risk of sports equipment entering spectator areas. Ensuring the safety of attendees is a top priority. The current stadium lacks adequate netting on the North End, presenting a safety concern that this project seeks to address.

Key challenges include installing the netting with minimal disruption to scheduled events and ensuring the final result integrates well with the existing turf field. A successful project will deliver durable, high-quality netting that enhances safety without compromising visibility or the overall game-day experience.
