The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
The contractor shall perform the following specific tasks for the Seattle and Magnolia VAMC:
•Conduct comprehensive quarterly and annual inspections of all backflow preventionassemblies.
•Certify each backflow prevention assembly in accordance with the latest publishedstandards.
•Provide documentation and maintain certification records in compliance with theAmerican Backflow Preventer Association.
•Maintain, clean, and service backflow prevention assemblies as needed.
•Ensure all inspectors have received certification equivalent to the field test procedures inthe Manual of Cross-Connection Control, Tenth Edition.
•Submit proof of required licenses and personnel qualifications to the Contracting Officerprior to contract award.
•Inspect, test, repair, and provide preventive maintenance for up to 213 backflowprevention assemblies.
•Perform all work in compliance with NFPA 13, 17, NFPA 25, ASME, ANSI, ASSE,ABPA, UPC, and other applicable Federal Regulations.
•Provide inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair services by master plumbers,certified inspectors, testers, and mechanics qualified for backflow prevention assemblywork.
•Submit all required documentation and maintain necessary licenses and personnelqualifications in compliance with Washington State regulations.
