The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to submitted vendor questions. Offerors are reminded submission of your response shall be received not later than 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) on November 4, 2024, at Durrell.Briskey@va.gov. Could you provide further insight into how proposals will be evaluated? Specifically, are there key criteria that will weigh more heavily in the decision-making process?
Answer : We will be evaluating Technical, Past performance and Price all are equally weighted
Is there any requirement that contractor or Subcontractor has to be located within a certain miles radius or they are also able to submit a bid and if won then deliver the service from out of state/on-shore.Â
Answer: The company would need to be within 50 mile radius due to daily pick up.
Is it once a week Pick-up and delivery.?Â
Answer: No this is a Daily Pick-up and Delivery including weekend.
Do we need to price as per the Quantitates like per LB.?
Answer: Yes in accordance with the solicitation price is per LB.
Can you please break it down expected quantities for laundry each week, estimated quantities.
Answer: Estimated poundage (16,661)

We would like to know if this is a brand-new contract OR if there is (was) an incumbent performing these services.
Answer: This is a new requirement.
Could you please confirm whether this is a linen rental contract or if all the items are government-owned?
Answer: This is not a linen rental contract all items are owned by the Government. This is for laundry services daily pick up and delivery.
The actual monthly billing will be based on the clean pounds delivered.
Answer: Yes

There is also a reference to barcode scanning. Is this currently being utilized?

Answer: No

Will there be a scheduled site visit for this opportunity?

Answer: No
