Description:

The City of Great Bend, Kansas is inviting bid pricing for paving and chip/fog sealing of miscellaneous streets in Great Bend. This cost proposal shall include all costs associated with the project including labor, materials, bonding, and all incidentals necessary to complete the work. Traffic control personnel and signage are to be provided by the contractor, with understanding that emergency vehicles and school buses will not be delayed. All traffic control must comply with the most current version of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).

The City of Great Bend requests that the work be performed by the successful bidders’ own personnel. Any subcontractors must be pre-approved by the city. All work is to be done under the direction of the City of Great Bend Public Works Department and must comply with The City of Great Bend Standard Specifications.

Questions should be submitted to The City of Great Bend Public Works Department, 525 Morton Street, Great Bend, KS 67530 or ddunekack@greatbend ks.gov for clarification by 12:00 PM (noon) on Wednesday May 27, 2026. Please return the proposal to The City of Great Bend, 1209 Williams Street, Great Bend, KS 67530 by 2:00 PM on Friday June 5, 2026. Bids will be opened at 2:00 PM on Friday June 5, 2026 at City Hall located at 1209 Williams, Great Bend, KS 67530.
