Tarrant County College District is soliciting proposals for RFP #26-017, Data Center Enclosure & MEP Upgrades, located at the TCC Trinity River Campus, 300 Trinity Campus Circle, Fort Worth, Texas 76102, Building ID TCRF (Clear Fork). The project consists of renovations and system upgrades to the existing data center/server-room area. The construction documents identify an approximate 4,070-square-foot renovation area.
The work is anticipated to be performed under one lump-sum construction contract and includes all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, coordination, and incidentals necessary to complete the project as shown and specified in the Contract Documents. The scope includes selective demolition; modifications to the existing raised access floor; new demountable fire-rated enclosure construction and welded-wire security partitions; doors, hardware, ceilings, finishes, signage, and firestopping; and modifications to access control, security, and related technology systems.
The work also includes substantial MEP upgrades, including removal of existing computer-room air-conditioning equipment and installation of new CRAH units; chilled-water piping, condensate and domestic-water connections; BAS controls and integration; modifications to fire suppression, VESDA smoke detection, FM-200/clean-agent systems, and fire alarm systems; electrical distribution and equipment connections; lighting and lighting controls; and reconfiguration of the emergency-power-off systems. Construction must be coordinated so that the operating data center remains functional, including maintaining the required cooling capacity during the work and implementing specified dust containment, negative-air, and HEPA filtration measures.
