River Intake Building Roofing Membrane Replacement

The City of Aurora is seeking a qualified contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to provide and install a new roofing membrane over the existing membrane roof at the River Intake Building, located at 1110 Aurora Avenue, Aurora, Illinois. Work shall include all necessary preparation of the existing roof surface, installation of the new membrane roofing system, flashing, sealing, and all incidental work required to provide a complete and watertight roofing system in accordance with the project specifications.

The River Intake Structure was constructed in 1992 in conjunction with the Water Treatment Plant. The existing roofing membrane is original to the structure and has reached the end of its anticipated service life. Although repairs to the existing roofing membrane were completed in 2024, the roofing contractor, Tecta, verbally recommended full membrane replacement at that time due to the age and overall condition of the existing system.
