Snow College is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB) to award a purchase order to the responsive and responsible vendor submitting the lowest priced bid for the supply and installation of quartz countertops in the Snow College Bistro.
The selected vendor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the project in accordance with the specifications. Dimensions provided are approximate; each vendor is responsible for verifying all field measurements. All work must be performed in compliance with applicable building codes and safety standards.
Scope of Work:
The project includes the fabrication, delivery, and installation of new quartz countertops for the Bistro as shown in the drawings (please see the files section). Snow College will complete demolition of the existing space and installation of new cabinetry prior to countertop installation.
Work shall include all countertops identified in the drawings, including but not limited to the curved serving counter and labeled sections A, B, C, D, E, and F. The contractor shall verify all dimensions, fabricate countertops to fit the new cabinetry, and provide all required edge treatments and cutouts for sinks, equipment, and fixtures as indicated.
The contractor shall ensure all seams, joints, and finishes meet industry standards and provide a clean, professional appearance. Final installation shall include proper leveling, securing of countertops, and coordination with installed cabinetry and equipment. The work area shall be kept clean, and all debris generated by the contractor shall be removed upon completion.
Project Details:
• Material: Quartz countertops (final color selection pending; tan or light brown).
• Drawings: See attached layout and countertop detail sheets for configuration and approximate dimensions (Drawings found in the files section).
• Dimensions: Measurements provided are approximate and must be verified by the supplier.
• Site Visit: A walkthrough is not required for bidding purposes. However, bidders may contact Quinn at 435-340-1228 to schedule a site visit if desired.
Project Schedule
• All work MUST be completed prior to the start of Fall Semester at Snow College
• Installation is anticipated to take place during the first week of August 2026.
Bid Requirements:
Itemized quote including materials, travel time, labor, and any applicable fees Warranty details Proof of insurance and applicable licenses with Snow College listed as additionally insured / certificate holder. Signed Contract with Snow College.
All work must be performed in compliance with applicable building codes and safety standards.
Subcontracts & Bonds:
If subcontractors are proposed:
• The bidder must provide the subcontractor’s name, address, and scope of work
• Approval from Snow College Purchasing is required prior to awarding subcontracts
• Use of subcontractors requires bonding
All bond costs are the responsibility of the vendor awarded and must be included in the bid pricing.
Insurance Requirements:
The awarded vendor must maintain:
• Commercial General Liability (CGL):
o $1,000,000 per occurrence
o $2,000,000 aggregate
• Additional Coverage (if applicable):
o Business Automobile Liability
o Professional Liability (Errors & Omissions): $2,000,000 per occurrence
All policies must be primary and non-contributory to Snow College’s insurance.
Evaluation of Bids
Bids will be evaluated for responsiveness in accordance with the Utah Procurement Code. All submissions must comply with the specifications outlined in this IFB.
• Multiple or alternate bids will not be accepted
• If submitted, only the primary bid will be considered
Snow College reserves the right to solicit additional quotes as permitted by applicable procurement laws and administrative rules.
