Description

The Department of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) has a requirement to conduct a Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) study of mining mobile equipment to assess the environmental impacts of different types of vehicles and operating conditions, including diesel-powered and battery powered vehicles. The expected outputs will be reports detailing environmental impacts using an LCA approach on 4 sets (diesel and BEV) of mining vehicles in underground applications, 1 set of vehicles in surface mining, and evaluating results with at least 2 charging strategies for each set of vehicles.
