Can you please verify there are no roll up or horizontal doors? If there are, can you please provide the quantities? There are no roll up or horizontal doors for annual inspections.
Can you please clarify how a contractor is to be properly trained? We recommend at a minimum NFPA 80 certified in Fire and Smoke Door Inspections. Page 2 of the NFPA 80 states The NFPA has no power, nor does it undertake, to police or enforce compliance with the contents of NFPA Standards. Nor does the NFPA list, certify, test, or inspect products, designs, or installations for compliance with this document. Any certification or other statement of compliance with the requirements of this document shall not be attributable to the NFPA and is solely the responsibility of the certifier or maker of the statement.
Hines will except verified 3rd party fire door inspection certifications.
Can you please confirm whether the qualification of at least 3 years of documented Fire/Smoke Door inspection work needs to be held at the Prime and Subcontractor level?
