Project Description: KCI Technologies, Inc. (KCI) and our subconsultants including Alfred Benesch & Company Inc., NTM Engineering, Inc., and Prime AE Group, Inc. (herein collectively referred to as KCI), have been contracted by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PENNDOT) to perform NBIS inspection of various bridges in 2025, throughout Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, and Northampton Counties. The bridges or portions of the bridges carries state routes over Norfolk Southern Railroad. The contract for ‘Non-Professional Services for PennDOT District 5-0 Bridge Inspections ECMS No. E05279’ will be awarded as described below. The contract will extend from February 17, 2025, to December 31, 2026.
Non-professional services include the use of under bridge inspection access inspection support services and maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT) during inspections. Proper operation and maintenance of all equipment and vehicles per manufacturer specifications is required. Workdays may not be consecutive and will be subject to weather conditions. KCI reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of days required or structures inspected for Non-Professional Services as necessary for the successful completion of the District 5-0 Bridge Inspection work.
KCI will accept sealed bids from qualified contractors for “Non-Professional Services for District 5-0 Bridge Inspections” until 10:00 a.m. (EST), February 7, 2025, via PennBid. Complete bid packages may be obtained at no cost via PennBid (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/). Only bids submitted electronically via PennBid will be accepted. Each contractor may bid on the individual services you are able to provide. KCI will award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder for each item(s). KCI reserves the right to reject any or all bids deemed not in conformance with the bid requirements.
