East South Street Force Main and Gravity Sewers

Project Description: Sealed bids will be received electronically through PennBid™ by the Borough of Kennett Square for East South Street Force Main and Gravity Sewers, Contract KSB-2024-ESSPS until 2:00 PM, prevailing time, on November 20, 2024, at which time they will be publicly read at the Borough of Kennett Square office, 600 South Broad Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348. All documents and solicitation details are available online anytime at no cost at PennBid™ (www.PennBid.net).
Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Owner in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid or bids. Only bonds from companies licensed to do business in the State where the Owner is located will be accepted and the bond shall so state same.
This project involves the installation of approximately 703 LF of 8” diameter sanitary sewer force main, 535 LF of 8” to 10” diameter gravity sewers, five manholes, replacement via upsizing of approximately 378 LF of 18” diameter gravity sewers, and associated road re-paving and restoration.
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on November 4, 2024, at 10:00 AM at 600 South Broad Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348.
Bids must be submitted unconditionally. No bidder may withdraw bid within sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality, or to reject any or all bids.
Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry Prevailing Wage Rates apply to this project.
