This is a award synopsis for informational purposes only. The 23d Contracting Squadron made a sole source award to L3 Harris, Inc. for three X-Band Kits. The products included in the X-Band kit is a Parabolic feed and the transceiver in a hard case:

• X-Band Feed (60 cm/ 96 cm)/Part Number (0195-3400-01/0195-3420-01**)


• X-Band Transceiver /Part Number (0195-2600-01*)

This award synopsis follows FAR 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements) due to L3 Harris Inc. as them being the only vendor that can provide the requirement in need. A previous contract was awarded to L3 Harris Inc. due to the lack of competition in the marketplace, this previous contract supports the acqustion process Moody AFB has taken to procure the requirement in need. Due to fiscal year 25 coming to an end this requirement became urgent; under these time constraints Moody AFB found it best to award this single source to L3 Harris Inc.

Attached will be the Single Source Justification & Approval stating the competition efforts made by Moody AFB to maximize competition. Due to the lack of competition in the market; this award was made to L3 Harris Inc.
