Description
A preliminary analytics initiative was conducted as a proof-of-concept, focusing on developing analytic frameworks and delivering initial insights in a key service area. This initial phase demonstrated the power of data-driven analysis to uncover efficiencies and improve effectiveness in government operations, yielding positive results – including identification of high-impact improvement opportunities and enhanced transparency in one sector, and confirming the value of a cross-ministry analytics approach in delivering strong results for Albertans.
Building on the success of the initial phase, the GoA is launching a broader initiative to extend advanced analytics reviews across multiple departments and programs. This next phase will expand the scope across government, guided by stakeholder input and data exploration rather than predefined targets.
