NOTICE OF INTENT TO DIRECT AWARD

Notice of Intent (NOI) No:1070-2526-162
Notice is hereby given by British Columbia Housing ManagementCommission (“BC Housing”) of its intent to direct award a contract to Quantus Electric Ltd., for immediate replacement of the malfunctioning Emergency Generator (EG) and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) at The Lake facility for a value of $127,500.00 for the term of August 2025 to December 2025.
BC Housing has made the decision to direct award this contract to Quantus Electric Ltd. because:The existing Emergency Generator (EG) and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) at The Lake facility, which support critical services such as heating, electrical, and water distribution, are outdated. Replacement parts are no longer available, necessitating a full replacement of the equipment. In the last few years, during power outages, manual operation by society staff was required to engage the generator, exposing them to high voltages and posing a risk of electrocution.Interested parties wishing to challenge or object to this decision must submit in writing reasons for the challenge or objection by 2:00 pm (PST) on or before Wednesday, August 6, 2025 to Peter Thompson, Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management by email at Pthompson@bchousing.org , detailing specific reasons for their objections.
A vendor’s ability to demonstrate relevant experience, qualification and ability to provide the described goods/services for a competitive price within the required timeframe will be the key criteria considered in an objection.
If justified, a meeting with a BC Housing representative and interested vendor(s) will be called to discuss the decision and to receive further vendor information regarding the supply of the goods/services.
