Description

The DEA HQ/Office of Domestic Operations (OD), Emergency Preparedness Section (ODE) has designated Law

Enforcement Strike Teams (LESTs, formerly known as Quick Response Teams, or QRTs) comprised of DEA Special

Agents assigned and trained to respond to an Emergency Support Function (ESF-13) deployment to a disaster area to

provide assistance to State and Local authorities with security, law enforcement, and any other duties as requested. This

training is derived from the Disaster Readiness Course (DRC).
