Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 143-131, and the Code of Federal Regulations 200.317 - 200.327,
Bids will be received by the City of Asheville for the following:
Description of Work:
The City seeks a fencing firm to replace the security fence enclosing the City’s water tank at our Peach Knob
facility, located at 33 Peach Knob Dr. W, Asheville. The City anticipates that this Contract may be financed in
whole or in part with Federal and or State funding (ref: Incident #20240924 Tropical System Helene).

the official source of this solicitation. Bid documents and instructions may be obtained digitally at no cost
from the City procurement website. All updates to this solicitation shall come in the form of published
addenda and shall be published to the same location. The City will not be responsible for full or partial
sets of Bid Documents including any addendum obtained from any other source.

Questions pertaining to the bid will be answered in the form of a written addenda posted to the City of​
Asheville’s bid page no later than (7) days before the opening of bids, per the Bid Schedule above.
The City has prepared this Advertisement for Bids which identifies the services to be undertaken. ​
In order to be considered, all bids must be submitted electronically no later than the bid due date. The
responsibility for getting their bid to the City of Asheville on or before the specified time and date is solely and
strictly the responsibility of the proposing contractor. The City will in no way be responsible for delays caused
by any occurrence. You are encouraged to send a test email ahead of time to ensure that your email is being
received.
Federal Terms and Conditions: Submitters shall acknowledge that this contract is intended to be funded in
whole or in part through the use of federal relief funds. As such, the winning submitter shall abide by all of the
mandatory Terms & Conditions that are attached hereto as Exhibit A: Federally Required Terms and
Conditions – Tropical Storm Helene. To the extent there is any conflict between the terms set forth in this
Contract and exhibits, Exhibit A shall govern over any other conflicting terms.
The City of Asheville reserves the right to reject any or all Bids.
