P10011 IFS Permanent Accommodations Design Engineer

Scope of Work:
Project is to establish a contract with a multidiscipline engineering firm to design a new pertinent accommodations facility for Island Falls

SaskPower plans to construct a new permanent housing facility, water treatment building and septic disposal field at the Island Falls Hydroelectric station located on the Churchill River in northern Saskatchewan. As part of this work SaskPower also intends to demolish and remove the old staff house following construction of the new facility to ensure any communication housed within the staff house can be relocated to the new housing facility before demolition work occurs. Operations currently use mobile trailers to house their employees and any contractors that service the power station. The new facilities are intended to replace the existing mobile trailers on site and provide additional housing.

Project Location:
Island Falls Hydroelectric station located on the Churchill River in northern Saskatchewan

Project Timelines:
6 phases with milestones for each, final project to be completed by March 2029

Mandatories:
Registered and active Canadian contractor subscription with ISNetworld

Contract Length and Payment Type:
Contract duration is 3 years and payment structure is Milestones with Holdback/Leins
