  • Summary:Remove invasive plant species, including but not limited to, Bradford Pear Trees, Autumn Olive, and Cedar on property owned by the Town of Lebanon. Approximately 80-90 trees in various sizes will need to be cut and removed (chipped and hauled off site, or use of a forestry mulcher are acceptable). Any stumps left in the ground should be grubbed, grounded, or properly treated with a herbicide mixture to discourage regrowth. Certified Herbicide/Pesticide Licensing from the State of Virginia is required for any contractor(s) who plan to use herbicides. Both mechanical and/or chemical methods are acceptable. Majority of trees and brush are accessible with skid steer or smaller excavator, but some hand cutting may be required. If you wish to see the property before bidding, please contact Jeff Mutter at (276) 206-6534 to schedule an appointment.
  • Round Information:Updated information pertaining to "Certified Pesticide/Herbicide Licensing" requirements. Any contractors who plan to use herbicides MUST have a valid Pesticide/Herbicide Commercial Applicator License. Also added new language regarding acceptable methods of vegetation removal to provide options for contractors who may not have a commercial pesticide/herbicide license.
