Sealed Bids will be received by Riley County, Kansas at the Office of the County Clerk for the:
2026 Asphalt Overlay Program
Bids will be accepted until 4:00 PM on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at the Office of the County Clerk, located in the Riley County Office Building, 110 Courthouse Plaza, Manhattan, KS. Bids will be opened and read aloud at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, during the Board of County Commissioners meeting at the Family and Child Resource Center, 2101 Claflin Road, Room 124 Manhattan, KS 66502.
Principal Items of Work:
Approximately 11.78 miles of Bituminous Hot Mix Asphalt at two (2) locations in Riley County applied using the Construction Method listed below and performing approximately 179,684 Square Yards of Asphalt Pavement Milling at the two specified locations.
Construction Method:
Asphalt Pavement Milling a depth of 1.0” and Delivery and application of 1.5” of Bituminous Hot Mix Asphalt at specified locations.
All bidders must be on the plan holders list to be eligible.
No Bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of 30 days following the opening of Bids.
The character and amount of security to be furnished by each bidder is stated in the above mentioned Contract Documents.
Working Days, the Proposed Start Date, and Bid Amount will all be considered in awarding of the Bid.
The Riley County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive informalities in considering Bids and to accept the Bid which, in the Board’s opinion, is in the best interest of Riley County.
