ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids for a lump sum subcontract are invited from PLUMBING subcontractors (hereinafter
"Subcontractors") for the following work:
UCLA 5210 PACIFIC CONCOURSE DRIVE TENANT IMPROVEMENT
Project Number 906021.01
DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
The University has bid and awarded a CM at Risk Contract to Clark Construction Group
(hereafter "CM/Contractor"). CM/Contractor is responsible for bidding and awarding all
subsequent subcontractor packages, including this package. The successful Subcontractor
Bidder shall sign a Subcontract Agreement directly with CM/Contractor, and shall be bound by all
the terms of the contract between University and CM/Contractor. Refer to "Exhibit A - UCLA CM
Agreement_906021.01" and "Exhibit A - UCLA General Conditions_906021.01" which contains
the contract between University and CM/Contractor, attached to the subcontract bidding
documents and incorporated by this reference.
UCLA Health will renovate a 170,000 gross square foot (gsf) two-story life sciences building at
5210 Pacific Concourse Drive in unincorporated Los Angeles County. Built in 2002, the existing
concrete tilt-up building includes floor plates of approximately 80,000 gsf each, 15-foot ceilings,
two passenger elevators, and a freight elevator. Tenant improvements to the lobby and cafe were
completed in 2020, which also added an indoor/outdoor community space. These areas will be
retained as the new program allows. The 9.2-acre site includes surface parking.
The project will renovate the building to establish a Sports Medicine Institute, relocate the
off-campus Clinical Microbiology Laboratory, and create a community fill pharmacy and specialty
pharmacy.
Renovations will include minor seismic improvements and upgrades to building systems, utility
systems, sustainability, safety and security. The project will address compliance with UC Seismic
Safety Policy, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the University of California Policy on
Sustainable Practices. The project will achieve a minimum LEED(R) Silver ID+C certification and
strive to achieve LEED(R) Gold, version 4.
Bid Package #3 PLUMBING (this contract): This Bid Package consists of PLUMBING.
The estimated construction cost of this bid package is $21,700,000.
PREQUALIFIED SUBCONTRACTOR BIDDERS: The CM/Contractor has prequalified Subcontractor
Bidders for this Project. Only Subcontractors that have already been prequalified by the CM/Contractor
are eligible to submit bids. Prequalified subcontractors:

Bid RFIs are to be submitted via Building Connected and are due June 19th, 2026 5:00pm.
BID DEADLINE: Bids will be received only at the following location:

MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE & SITE VISIT: A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and Site Visit
will be conducted on June 16, 2026, beginning promptly at 1:00pm. Only Subcontractor bidders
who participate in both the Conference and Site Visit in its entirety will be allowed to bid on the
Project as a PLUMBING subcontractor.
Participants shall meet at 5210 Pacific Course Dr. Los Angeles, CA 90045. Attached is a map of
the site visit location.

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California
current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid:
PLUMBING CSLB C-36
Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business
opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Bidder may be
required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful Bidder and its
subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the contract
between the University and the SUBCONTRACTOR and to pay prevailing wage at the location of the
work.
The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code.
No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the
performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations
pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1.
This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial
Relations.
The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site,
including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $13 per hour as of 10/1/15,
$14 per hour as of 10/1/16, and $15 per hour as of 10/1/17) and shall comply with all applicable federal,
state and local working condition requirements.
