Project Description: CLTWater has the need for consulting engineers to assist with various on-call projects related to the previously stated infrastructure. These projects can be small in scope and usually immediate in terms of need. Since these services are on-call in nature, Companies should have the ability to provide engineering design and construction services within 48-hours of receiving notice.
CLTWater will review qualifications and select qualified on-call consultants for the specialties listed in the following paragraph. CLTWater does not expect Proposers to submit qualifications for all specialties.
Charlotte Water will select Companies for the following on-call specialties:
• Industrial and commercial electrical engineering, analysis, generation, and distribution
• Water and wastewater conveyance systems analysis, system modeling, planning and engineering
• Water and wastewater treatment plant engineering
• Structural engineering
• Civil/site engineering
• Building engineering – plumbing, HVAC, roofing systems, fire suppression systems and architectural services.
Work completed under these contracts will be assigned on a Task Order basis, and the work invoiced for each Task Order shall be in accordance with the hourly rates included in the contract. The rates may be adjusted once annually, in January of each year. A detailed Scope of Services will be negotiated for each Task Order between CLTWater and the Company. Task Orders will be negotiated individually on a “Not to Exceed” basis. Total contract dollar values will be set somewhat subjectively with the understanding that the contract time will vary depending on the amount of work assigned and the rate at which the contract amount is consumed. In addition, there is no guarantee that the full contract amount will be fully expended or utilized at all.
