at which time the bids will be publicly open and read in the Office of Procurement. The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the requested services, to submit bids to enter into an agreement to provide improvements to Linda Petrella Park, Main & Cumberland Street, Springfield MA 01107. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes.
Project includes installation of sediment & erosion controls, earthwork, installation of owner-furnished site furnishings and playground equipment, preparation of base preparation for rubberized surfacing (installed by owner’s vendor), landscape improvements and tree plantings. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $200,000.00. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com beginning on December 17, 2025.
It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on January 6, 2026 at 9:00 AM on site. All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than January 7, 2026 (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. MA DLS Prevailing Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
