Solicitation Summary

Sealed proposals shall be submitted in duplicate and received by the offices of the Board of
Education of Allegany County, 108 Washington Street, Cumberland, MD 21502 until
2:00 PM local time September 30, 2025, for the Restoration Renovation at Westernport
Elementary School in Westernport, Maryland. Thereafter, such proposals shall be publicly
opened and read aloud. The sealed proposals will be in accordance with the plans and
specifications prepared for the Owner by the design team led by Bushey Feight Morin Architects
Inc., telephone 301.733.5600.

Restoration work to re-install the interior walls, ceilings and finishes of lower level (first floor) of
the Westernport Elementary School including minor adjustments for ADA compliance and to
meet current building code.

Additional Instructions

The Contractor shall commence work under this Contract upon receipt by him of the Notice to
Proceed, prosecute said work diligently, complete and have ready for use not later than 180
days. The time stated for completion shall include final clean-up of the premises, removal of the
contractor’s equipment and supplies and receipt of the Use and Occupancy Permit

Pre-Bid Conference Details
There will be a MANDATORY Pre-Bid Conference scheduled for September 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM (local time) at the job site. Bidders / installers may re-visit the site at their convenience after scheduling a time to be onsite with the ACPS Facilities Department. All questions must be submitted by September 23, 2025 by 4:00 PM to the Owner and Architect.
