Pursuant to N.C.G.S. 143-131 and 128, sealed bids endorsed “Chiller Replacements, IF26195” will be
received by City/County Purchasing at the location and until the time listed above, at which time they
will be publicly opened and read aloud. Forsyth County reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The
prime contractor must be properly licensed as required by Chapter 87 of the N.C. General Statutes to
perform the work described herein.

Scope of Work summary
The chiller serving the Piedmont Propulsion facility suffered a catastrophic failure over the winter with
water entering the refrigeration circuit and subsequently freezing. This project includes providing a
rental chiller for the duration of the replacement project, and replacement of the air-cooled chiller.
MANDATORY Site Visit
It is mandatory for vendors to schedule a site visit prior to April 7, 2026 by contacting James
Anderson at andersja@forsyth.cc. Failure to make the site visit during this deadline will make
vendors ineligible for award of the contract.
