Needed Service: Repaint Exterior of the Marblehead Lighthouse Carriage House

Project Background
Clean exterior of the entire structure then prime and paint – this includes mold, mildew, dirt, loose/peeling paint.

Specifications/Scope of Work
Exterior work to include as follows:

1.            Any found mold a/o mildew to be eradicated
2.            Any found loose or peeling paint to be removed
3.            Any areas revealing original surface to be primed
4.            Application of x1 coat SW Satin Duration to be applied to the following items:
a.            Rake boards
b.            Fascia boards
c.             Soffits
d.            Outside corner boards
e.            Overhead door casings
f.             Window casings
g.            Loft access doors (x3)
h.            Reverse batten siding
i.              Lapped siding
5.            All unwanted surfaces subject to over spray to be covered and concealed prior to application of finish material.
6.            Color scheme to match existing
7.            Water and power will be available at the site.
8.            Cover and protect areas from overspray prior to application of primer/paint.

Once a contract is awarded, failure of the bidder to have requested a site visit to become familiar with the facility and requirements of the bid will be insufficient reason to support any request to be released from the contract.

Completion/Delivery Date: June 20, 2025

Project Award. For bids involving service projects on DNR property, the lowest apparent bidder will be required to provide 2 examples of similar completed projects including photos.  Provide the person’s name, organization name, phone number and email address for each project example.  In addition, the bidder must complete a pre-award meeting with appropriate DNR staff to ensure that the materials and scope are mutually understood.
Evaluation. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as determined by the State.
Contract Award. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder by low lot total.  Low lot total will be determined by multiplying the unit cost by the estimated usage listed in the bid and then adding each of the totals together to arrive at a total for all items. Failure to bid all items may result in the bidder being deemed not responsive.
For the purchase of services use the following statement:
The awarded supplier will be required to sign an Addendum to Bid Quote or Personal Services Agreement.  Example attached.
